It all began with Jose Ferrufino’s one-man, home upholstery business. Today, Ferrufino Interiors is a full service interior workroom where clients can relax and enjoy a cup of coffee while dreaming up their new space.

Jose Efrain Ferrufino, Sr.
(1925-2012)
Our founder, Mr. Ferrufino started his one-man upholstery business in 1968 out of his home in Mar Vista. He was the salesperson, cutter, sewer, upholsterer and deliveryman. His wife, Mrs. Alicia Ferrufino did the scheduling and bookkeeping. Soon after moving to Culver City, word spread of Mr. Ferrufino’s craftsmanship, hard work, and honesty. Solely through word-of-mouth his clientele began to grow, as did his workforce. Today, Ferrufino Interiors dedicates itself to Mr. Ferrufino’s legacy of an upstanding family atmosphere that continues to be the hallmark of our business to this very day. Earl Trusty
Owner, Sales Advisor. An entrepreneur at heart, our owner Earl is originally from Indiana. After high school, he joined the Navy and later attended college in Indiana, Connecticut and San Diego, California. He and his wife, Julia, took over Ferrufino Interiors in 1987. Earl is an experienced businessman having worked in Real Estate (#1 in Listings / Sales) as well as in the Aerospace Industry. He currently serves in many capacities with various business organizations. Using his vocal skills, Earl is a wonderful singer. He is, also, an avid reader, a talented photographer and a strong swimmer.
Julia Ferrufino Trusty
Owner, Administrator. Our multi-lingual owner, Julia, is originally from El Salvador. She is a graduate of Santa Monica College and UCLA. In addition, she completed coursework at other California colleges including USC. Throughout the years she has developed many interests: reading, writing, bowling, dancing, cooking and traveling. Julia's passions are her family, her friends, her dogs and the entrepreneurial efforts, cultural / political interests, and outdoor activities that she shares with her husband, Earl.
Renee Lee
Office Manager, Sales Advisor. Renee Lee is originally from Indiana. She began with Ferrufino Interiors in 1996. She currently serves in many capacities with local charitable and service organizations. Her main interests are reading, cooking, karaoke singing, line dancing, photography and visiting with her friends.
David Sperling
Design consultant, Sales Advisor.
(Retired July 2026 and with his lovely wife decided to move out of state to join family. Having assisted us with seven years of hard work and dedication applying his knowledge of decor / design with our clients, David will most certainly be missed.)
